The Y Factor show running since 2005 in Youghal highlights the richness of talent in the youth and gives a platform for them to perform The 2010 DVD is a live recording of the event and the Cd is studio recording done a t Claycastle Studio's Youghal of all the artists in the final plus special guests . The twelve finalists six aged under fourteen years and six aged between 15 and 18 years, are hand picked from auditions held in The Hot spot Youth Center in Youghal with a winner picked from each category on the final night.
 

 

ROOTS has a big heart with an old soul and a young heart .Its an album of  mostly original songs  written by the artists .It delivers a mix of styles reaching across all ages and musical tastes .Roots gives a voice to the young through music and bears witness to the richness of talent in young musicians 

  SHAMBALA is Lobsang's debut release. Lobsang is a Tibetan singer and activist campaigning for the freedom of his peoples and the saving of his land. Shambala was Produced  by The Sacred Roots Project and recorded by Laurence White at Rough Cut Studio in Bandon Co Cork , it features Julie Field on vocals. Fearghal Lee percussion and Bobby lee on guitars.

SONGLINES is a 19 track album recorded on location in Owenacurra day care center in Midleton Co cork .It features performances from users and staff members of the center following a 9 month monday morning music session facilitated by Bobby & Fearghal Lee.The songs were recorded on location at the center with extra instruments and vocals  recorded after at Rough cut studios  run by Laurence White

 

ANTHEMS The year is 2009.The purpose is to record music .The group is The Youth of Fermoy,Mallow and Midleton. The place is Rough cut lounge project studio Bandon.The facilitators are holy divers Bobby and Fergal Lee professional musicians of Sacred Root Productions .The engineer is Laurence white.The time spent is 3 days and 40 nights.The joy is tangable.The result is who cares we done it.The title is ANTHEMS the way is forward. The time is now. 


  

TRUST is a the first of The Sacred Roots recordings .Launched back in 2004 trust was recorded by Warren Tivy in Claycastle recording studio, then a little box room in a converted garage , it features some of Youghal's finest musical talents of the time and of different ages. All its proceeds went to A Trust Fund set up in St Vincents in The Caribeen Islands...

BOBBY LEE

Producer writer musician Bobby is the backbone of The Sacred Roots Projects..He is currently working on a new album MADE IN GRACE  to be out when time arrives.  Bobby lived in Cork for the most pat of his life playing with different bands and musicians of all calibers and styles most notably Open kitchen & Hooky .His move to  Youghal proved to be a fruitful one bringing him closer to the youth in community through music .Bobby  dedicates his time and being now in service to others in his native Youghal and travels occasionally  to be with and play for the not so lucky brothers and sisters ,  Chernobyl and Haiti being the most recent ports of call.

'It all starts and ends in ones own heart, life gets all the credit where Bobby is concerned.

MAL BLACKIE SAOL NUA E.P

Mal Blackie armed with guitar in hand arrived on the Irish shores in the early ninties landing in the lap of the gods at Turners bar Cork city -a brief introduction to Hank wedel of Open kitchen and Princess street and Cork guitar hero Bobby Lee and Mal jumped the stage and it all began to rock and roll.
Mal's distinctive voice has being compared to the great soul singers of the 60's and 70's (Stevie Wonder/Marvin Gaye/ John Martyn), this coupled with his inspirational songwriting out stretches the realm of singer songwriter and has gained him much respect within the Irish music scene.
Mal has toured - collaborated and recorded with the best of them most notably Vic Christian of The Christians-Kila-Open Kitchen-Bobby Lee Declan Sinnott and the list goes on.
